This was one of the highlights of my time in Bali and an experience I would recommend to everyone.
My guide, Winaya, picked me up directly from my resort, and from the very beginning, he made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. His warm personality, professionalism, and genuine passion for what he does made the entire experience exceptional.
In the afternoon, we started our trek up Mount Batur. Along the way, Winaya shared interesting information about the volcano and the surrounding area, always making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the hike.
Reaching the summit in time for sunset was absolutely incredible. Watching the changing colors of the sky over Bali’s volcanic landscape was breathtaking. It is difficult to put into words how beautiful it was.
After sunset, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and spent the night in a tent at the summit. Later, we gathered around a campfire under a sky filled with stars, warming ourselves while sharing stories and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was a truly special experience.
Another great thing about Winaya is that he takes amazing photos. He happily helped capture some wonderful memories throughout the trip, and his enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable.
The next morning, we woke up early and enjoyed a simple but tasty breakfast while waiting for sunrise. Watching the first light illuminate Mount Agung, Lake Batur, and the surrounding landscape was simply magical.
After hiking back down, Winaya recommended visiting a nearby hot spring to relax our muscles. He even brought us there, and it was the perfect way to end the adventure after two days of hiking and camping.
Winaya is not only an excellent guide but also a genuinely kind person who clearly loves what he does. His care, attention to detail, and positive energy made this trip unforgettable.
